    Clara has been married to Gary since November 26, 1988. They are a blended family with 8 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She retired from the Olean City School District January 1, 2016 where she was in charge of the shipping and receiving department for 30 years. She began in the ministry as a lay speaker in the United Methodist Church in the Alma United Methodist Church in Alma, NY in January 2006. While there, she felt God calling her in the licensed local pastorate. She received her license to preach in October 2007. She has served as pastor at Alma UMC, Whitesville UMC, River’s Edge UMC and 1st UMC of Friendship before being appointed by Bishop Mark Webb to Tri-Church Parish. She cites 2 verses that have been important to her in her ministry.

    Choir director

    Lucy has been serving as Vocal Choir director at Tri-Church Parish since 2007. She has been making music since childhood, majoring in music in high school and playing piano since age 7. She added choral singing to this experience in 1994 through the Parkside Church Choir of Buffalo under the direction of Gregory White, and participated in the Choir’s “Following in the Footsteps of Bach” tour, singing in various venues throughout Eastern Germany. She also participated in the annual Parkside’s Messiah concerts with the Ars Nova Chamber Orchestra and their CD recording of a “Messiah” performance. In addition to directing the Tri-Church Parish Vocal Choir, Lucy has directed community music concerts and founded our Women’s Outreach Choir, bringing sacred music to people in correctional facilities, rehabilitation centers and nursing homes throughout the community.
